Hi there! My name is Kaitlynne Benjamin, but most people call me Kait. I was born and raised in Bridgewater, NS. In May 2023, I graduated from St. Thomas University with a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Communications and Public Policy and minored in Journalism and Psychology. I recently moved to Toronto, Ontario, where I am a Master of Marketing Candidate at the Schulich School of Business.
I played on the Women’s Soccer team at STU during all four years of my degree. Soccer brought me many things, but most importantly, it brought me life-long friends. I learned a lot during my years as a varsity athlete, and while all good things must come to an end, my time as a STU Tommie will always hold a special place in my heart.
Some may call me a nerd. I have always excelled in academics and enjoy learning new things. I always strive for success and put everything I have (which is sometimes too much) into a project. I am excited to continue to learn throughout my career.
On a more personal note, I love coffee and a good book. One of my all-time favourite books is The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides. I have recently found a love for yoga. I also love a yummy meal and a nice glass of wine. I have a burning desire to travel. I want to visit as many places as I can to experience the different cultures of our world. I’d love to visit Italy most. My friends and family have always been a huge support system for me, and they keep me going every day. I love hanging out with my friends, no matter what we are doing. I have been able to meet so many new people since moving to Toronto, who I am sure will be lifelong friends.
